What is a Cottage Food Producer?
In Colorado, a cottage food producer is an individual who operates a small-scale food business from their home kitchen to produce specific, low-risk foods for direct sale to consumers. Under the Colorado Cottage Foods Act, these producers can produce goods for sale without the use of a commercial kitchen and are not subject to standard state licensing or inspections.
Though we are not subject to state licensing or inspections, we are required to be certified through the University of Colorado in food safety.
All foods are produced in a sanitary food-safe kitchen. We take all necessary steps to ensure your baked goods are handled with care and safety in mind!
